That’s me gazing dreamily into the little canyon behind my home in San Diego that I share with my husband, daughter, and our two rescue cats.

I’ve had many vocations (swimming instructor, waitress, palm reader, car photographer, to name a few), but my favorites have involved writing. I’ve taught poetry in the schools, edited California Poets in the Schools anthologies, and facilitated writing workshops and poetry readings. These days, I try to read and write as much as I can, although my day job is life coaching and astrological counseling (If you’re looking for that site, click here).

I’ve been fortunate enough to have my poetry published in some wonderful journals such as Comstock Review, North American Review, Bellingham Review (winner of 49th Parallel Poetry Award), Poet Lore, Rattle, and Salamander, as well as the anthologies The Giant Book of Poetry, California Fire & Water: A Climate Crisis Anthology, and Steve Kowit: This Unspeakably Marvelous Life (a tribute to my first poetry teacher, who was a wonderful poet and a great humanitarian). My chapbook Devil Music was published by Caernarvon Press, run by the late, great poet and friend Terry Hertzler.
